Development

Program description

Regular training on health, nutrition, WASH, food security and protection issues is a central component of RRD’s programming to ensure delivery of quality services in line with recognized standards and protocols. Through training and supportive supervision within most of its humanitarian interventions, RRD built the capacity of healthcare workers in integrated management of childhood illness, immunization, and maternal and child health. RRD trained over 450 community health volunteers, mostly women, on communication skills, community mobilization, screening and follow-up for malnourished children, and prevention of malnutrition. RRD also targets health workers and health facilities’ personnel with Data & Stock Management as well as IT and online reporting trainings required to unite reporting related to communicable diseases. Furthermore, RRD conducted first aid and Hygiene Promotion trainings to more than 750 community volunteers.
