RRD implements its projects based on innovative ideas and approaches focusing on short-term impacts, sustainability as well as building on successful practices and lessons-learned to meet the humanitarian aid standards and requirements.

Our projects are encompassed within the following Programs:
  1. Health and Nutrition
    Health and Nutrition
RRD is determined in becoming a key player in the process of mitigating sufferings among Yemen’s affected populations. Under the Health and Nutrition Program, the Foundation implements projects that contribute to the provision of basic health and essential nutrition services to those who are most in need.
  2. Cash for Work/Livelihood
    Cash for Work/Livelihood
Cash-for-Work projects provide temporary work to the most vulnerable members of the community and help them meet their basic needs. CFW interventions also revitalize resources such as farmlands ensuring that targeted communities regain their key source of livelihoods.
  3. Communication for Development
    Communication for Development
Communication for development (C4D) involves engaging communities and listening to their proposed solutions to acknowledged problems. It is a two-way process for sharing knowledge using various communication tools that empower communities to take lifesaving actions.
  4. WASH
Access to WASH, in particular safe water and adequate sanitation as well as proper hygiene education can reduce illness and death. It can also impact socio-economic development.
  5. Capacity Building
    Capacity Building
Capacity Building enables people and stakeholders to play a major role in development. It also empowers them to effectively mitigate factors of instability.
  6. Need Assessments
    Need Assessments
RRD takes into consideration the lack of data related to IDPs and conflict affected population. Therefore it develops need assessment tools that are used to collect solid information and build reliable databases that serves as resources to government and non-government bodies.
  7. Food & NFIs Assistance
    Food & NFIs Assistance
Survival and recovery from conflicts and disasters highly depend on access to sufficient food and resources. Distribution of Food and NFIs requires careful planning and management to ensure equitable assistance to the displaced and hosting populations as well as the safety and protection of all involved.
